So, like when I saw these Tawapa earrings online, I loved them instantly. I love how sleek and modern they looked and the gentle curve of the shape of them, and I loved the bone ones especially because they were completely unadorned. I thought they would look like splinters of bones that would fame my face and it would look modern and primitive at the same time.
Lol i don't really know why my imagination failed me, because they kind of just look like stretching tapers. Like I'm stretching my ears and don't know what I'm doing. Especially since a significant chunk is supposed to stick out the front of your lobe. Like, I don't know why I looked at something that looked exactly like a taper and thought it would look like something other than a taper.
You'll see that I've got to bend in a creative way for you to actually see the full length. Most of it just points back to my neck any you can't see it unless you're looking at it from the side. (below photos illustrate the odd way it sits in-ear). Not only that, since it points in a strange direction and is so long, you can't really wear it with other non-tusk earrings without it looking unbalanced and random:
lol excuse the shirt. I'm going for a gulag-chic look. |
I kind of wished I got a second pair of the black tapers, because I guess the only way to wear these is to wear the same exact earrings in multiple lobe piercings (as I did with the bone ones and in the above gif).
Anyone have any recent fails?
