Completed Gold, Red, Black Look

(back to Thursday posting!) So, if you remember way back in an earlier post from January, I was OBSESSED with this $1900 metallic gold Gucci pleated skirt. It seemed to shimmer black and gold at the same time and the beauty of this skirt haunted me...until now.

While I was hitting the 5th Ave stores (Top Shop, H+M, and the like) I was seeing metallic skirts everywhere. But not gold (well metallic gold velvet, which was cool, but not exact). So there was definitely a knock-off somewhere. And people are very good at knocking off these days, (I did a post on knockoffs a while back). I found the perfect match at Nasty Gal:

So the photo on the Nasty Gal site makes it look like a robot metallic gold that's stiff and uncomfortable, but that's so not the case! It does have that two-toned black and gold shimmer going on, even though it isn't reflected in the above photo. Since I own it in real life and have seen the Gucci one firsthand, I can say that it is one of the best knock-offs I've seen.

So in my Pantone Fall 2016 post, I had the below color scheme, which I realize is my color scheme for the year. I've been loving gold-colored jewelry, and I'm finally happy with a red everyday lip color. Don't know why it took so long!

Pantone fall 2016 (dark fashion)

I love the gold setup I have with my piercings and I'm glad I now have a septum clicker that fits with my other gold-colored jewelry. There are a lot of circles in this look and it's echoed in the design
